Guidance Counselling

What is Guidance Counselling?
The role of the guidance counselor is to serve as a listening ear to our students with the hope of helping students make positive developments in their lives by providing spiritual guidance and practices that are rooted in Islam. Please note this service is only available to school related issues. We are unable to address any issues that are related to home or personal life.
Please note that all issues need to be address as per our policy on Communicating Concerns:
Communicating Concerns
If a parent has any questions or concerns about their child’s education or any other issues, they should follow these steps in the order listed:
- Email the teacher (teachers are required to acknowledge receiving your communication within 24 hours with a timeline around when your concern will be addressed).
- Meet with the teacher (scheduled at a mutually agreed time).
- Email the Principal/Vice Principal if the concern remains unresolved.
Parents are strongly encouraged not to bring up a concern to the Principal/Vice-Principal or the Guidance Counselor without having first discussed the issue with the teacher. If you feel that your question or concern has not been sufficiently addressed, only then should you discuss it with the Principal/Vice-Principal.
