Tuition and Fees

2020-2021 School Year

All amounts shown are per year. Please note that ALL tuition and fees are subject to change at the discretion of the school board.

  1. Registration Fees: Registration fees are due at registration time unless application is placed on waiting list.

  2. Student Fees

    1. Children will be considered from the same family if they share same parents/guardians.

    2. Student fees must be paid in full regardless of student traveling or absentee.

  3. Resource Fee: This fee includes the cost of all the workbooks. And also covers the rental of textbooks. All textbooks have to be returned back to the school in good condition (as determined by the school). Please note that each homeroom teacher will be providing a supply list for their homeroom and it will be the responsibility of the parents to purchase school supplies for their children.

  4. Activity Fee: This fee includes the cost of four field trips in a year and other curriculum enrichment activities such as speakers, workshops, shows, holiday celebration, student clubs, etc. This does not include the annual student council trip, graduation ceremonies, Ski Trip, Quran competition, and other activities organized by the PST. The school administration reserves the right to determine which activities qualify for the activity fee and which do not.

  5. Technology Fee: This fee is used to maintain the technology infrastructure of the school.

  6. Please make cheques payable to “MAC/ABRAAR SCHOOL”. On the memo line write your child’s name and payment description.

  7. All monthly fees are due on the first day of the month. One-time fees are due during the first week of the school academic year. Families with multiple students are requested to submit their fees consolidated in one cheque.

  8. There will be $25 administrative charge for every returned cheque.

Payment Options

Parents/guardians have the following 3 options to pay the tuition and fees:

  1. A single cheque for the entire amount owed to the school.

  2. Electronic Funds Transfer: Funds are automatically withdrawn from the submitted bank account on the 1st of each month starting in August and ending in May of each year. Please attach a “VOID” cheque for the account from which you want funds to be automatically withdrawn.

  3. Postdated Cheques: Please submit postdated cheques for all the 10 months starting with September and Ending in June. The cheques can be post dated from the 1st to the 22nd of each month but no later than the 22nd as we have to update and close the monthly accounts by then.

Please note that cash is not accepted towards the payment of tuition and fees. Please refer to the Financial Contract for more details.

Tuition Reimbursement

The tuition and fees reimbursement policy is set by Abraar School Board and is subject to change at their discretion without any prior notification.

The tuition for the months the student attended school and the month the student is leaving the school is non-reimbursable. However, the tuition for the months the student will not attend school is fully-reimbursable.

Fee Reimbursement (Resource Fee, Activity Fee, Technology Fee)

Fees are not reimbursable after September.

Admission Fee & Re-Registration Fee

The admission fee and the re-registration fee are non-refundable.

MAC Education Fund

The needs-based tuition assistance grant from the MAC Education Fund pays up to a maximum of 25% of the school tuition directly to the school (exact amounts will be determined on a case by case basis). Tuition assistance grants will only be issued to qualified applicants based on the criteria listed in the application form.

Application Deadline: August 31, 2020

Only applications submitted by the deadline will be considered.
