Online Learning Guide
The online learning program will play an integral role in ensuring continuity of student learning with intermittent student absences and even school closures expected due to the flu season and the COVID-19 pandemic. This online learning guide will help you become familiar with how online learning is organized at the school and the main tools used. Please click on the “IT Support” button below if you have any questions or need help with any issue related to online learning.
Students
Students need a school issued email account (yourname@students.abraarschool.com) to access the live class sessions and Google Classroom. Please contact IT Support if you do not have a student account.
Parents
Issued one per family, the school issued email account for parents (yourname@parents.abraarschool.com) grants access to important school communication and to receive Guardian Summaries from Google Classroom. Please note that the parent email account cannot be used to join live class sessions or to access Google Classroom.
Please contact IT Support.
Learning is organized and delivered primarily through the following tools:
- Google Classroom (GC): This is the primary learning platform. Until and unless specified by the teacher, students will have one GC for their homeroom and one for each subject area.
- You can access all your Google Classrooms with the school issued student account by clicking here: https://classroom.google.com/h.
- Please see the Google Classroom Quick Start Guide for more information.
- Google Meet: To attend/join live class sessions. You can access the link to all live class sessions on the banner in the Homeroom GC (see how). Please see the Live Class Sessions Guide for more information.
Teachers may use other platforms such as IXL Learning, Alif Baa Taa, Kahoots!, etc. to deliver content in addtion to the two main mentioned above. Please contact your child’s teacher for more information.
We will still be following the same schedule we were observing prior to the school dismissal. The daily/weekly timetable is available in the Homeroom Google Classroom for your child’s respective homeroom (view how). Please contact your child’s homeroom teacher for further help.
