Rentals and Community Use of School Facilities

Abraar Elementary School allows community use of its facilities through a rental agreement. Please email the School Principal at eprincipal@abraarschool.com to check availability of the facilities and to request the link to the online Application for Community Use of School Facilities.

Please review all the fees, terms, and conditions before submitting the completed application.

Facilities and Equipment

  • Gym:
    • Dimensions: 64 feet x 44 feet
    • Capacity is 150-200 people if arranged in a banquet style. Can accommodate more if arranged in theatre style
    • Sound System: Available
    • The gym is heated but doesn’t have AC. Ceiling fans are present.
  • Kitchen: No cooking is allowed. Can only be used for minor preparations before serving the food. Has two sinks, refrigerator, and a full counter for food preparation. It is attached to the gym and opens into the gym.

Equipment

  • Chairs: 90
  • Tables: 9 tables (6 feet rectangular)
  • Sound System: 1 wireless mic connected to the sound system.
  • AV Cart with a Video Projector with HDMI/VGS connection

Required Deposit: A $200 Refundable Deposit is required for all rentals in the form of a separate cheque, which will be cashed only if needed and will be returned to the renter if not cashed.

Please pay all Fees and Deposit by cheque payable to “MAC Abraar Elementary School”. Please make two separate cheques, one for the Fees and one for the Deposit.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. The completed community use of school application must be submitted to Abraar School at least two weeks prior to the date of the event. Only the time, date, facilities and equipment indicated on the permit will be provided to the permit holder.
  2. Use of school equipment is limited and must be returned to its area after use and the area must be returned to its original condition. Failure to do so will prohibit future use of equipment and school facilities and may result in extra charges.
  3. Cooking is NOT allowed in the kitchen. It is only to be used for serving already prepared food.
  4. All user groups are required to set-up and clean up for their events.
  5. People in charge, participants and attendees must park in the designated parking areas. Inappropriately parked vehicles will be ticketed or towed away at the owner’s expense.
  6. All food and beverages shall be removed from the facility immediately following the event. Garbage is to be placed in the designated area (garbage bins in the parking lot are available).
  7. All exits and hallways must be kept free from obstructions at all times as per fine regulations.
  8. Abraar Elementary School reserves the right to cancel any permits should the facilities be required for school purposes.
  9. Abraar Elementary School will not be held responsible for personal injuries or damages or for the loss or theft of any article including clothing or equipment of the permit holder.
  10. Abraar Elementary School reserves the right to take any action required if accommodation and/or facilities provided are damaged or left in unsatisfactory condition. Cost for damages will be charged to the offending permit holder.
  11. A copy of the terms and conditions can be printed or requested to be emailed to each lessee. Once electronically signed and submitted it becomes part of the lease agreement.
