Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Abraar Elementary. The Abraar environment offers opportunity for growth, Islamic values, and a strong community network. Please browse through the volunteering opportunities before filling out the Volunteer Application.

We welcome parents, guardians, and community members to volunteer at Abraar School to assist in class, school-wide activities, events, and after-school programs. We believe that volunteers are an essential addition to the school environment and that they enhance the climate of the school. Many of the activities cannot be run without the assistance of volunteers, and your personal interests, experience, talents, and commitment is necessary! By fostering the relationship between the school, staff, parents/guardians, and the community members, inshallah the students will benefit and further succeed.

In the selection process and allocation of volunteers, the following will be considered:

• Skills
• Knowledge
• Experience
• References
• Availability
• Commitment

The following is a list of requirements for volunteers:

• All volunteers must have a vulnerable section police record check (within 6 months). They are free with a VSC request letter. Please contact our front office to request the letter.
• All selected volunteers must have a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement on file.
• Approved volunteers may work with a teacher assigned by the school administration.
• Volunteers must abide by all school polices and expectations.
  Volunteers must abide by the required Dress Code.
• All volunteers must renew their volunteer status every year.

Please note that all volunteer positions require careful screening and a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC). Not all applicants will be accepted.
