MAC 22nd Annual Quran Contest Rules and Regulations

 

1. MAC 22nd Noble Quran Memorization and Tajweed Contest 2025 is held at Olive Grove School located at 2300 Speakman Drive, Mississauga, Ontario L5k 1B4.
2. All participants will recite in-person on January 1st, 2025.

3. Early contest days and online options are available for confirmed travel/illness reasons as well as for those that live far from Mississauga, Ontario. Exact days for special contest days will be shared with individuals with approved requests.

4. All Participants are allowed to register in only one contest category.

5. Youth participants are participants born between 2006 and 2020.
6. Only Youth participants born between 2006 and 2020 are allowed to register for Youth Huffath Categories.
7. Al-Zahrawan Category is open for all participants 4 years and older.
8. Huffaz Category is open for all participants 4 years and older.
9. Standard registration fee of 35$  ends on December 27th, 2024. 
10. Late registration fee applies for registration between December 28 and 31st, 2024. Late registration fee is 45$.
11. All fees are non-refundable.
12. A Study Guide for Surah Meanings will be posted on December 11th, 2024.

Special Accommodations/ Changes

Some participants may require special accommodations. A special committee will review all requests that are submitted. Please note that in the light of a fair competition, these rules must be followed;

1. Please read the rules and regulations carefully before submitting a request as all payments are non refundable.
2. Only requests for confirmed registrations will be accepted i.e. You need to finalize the payment before submitting a request for accommodation.
3. Early contest days and online options are available for confirmed travel/illness reasons. Exact days for special contest days will be shared with individuals with approved requests.
4. All requests are reviewed by a special committee that will decide on the eligibility of the request and if the request can be accommodated for.
5. All decisions are final and can’t be reversed.
6. If a request is denied, no refund will be issued.
7. All requests must be received by December 15th, 2024.
8. No changes/transfers between the contest levels and categories can be made on the day of the contest.
9. For standard Surah Level, Participants are placed according to the year of birth, please refer below to confirm the required Surah. 
10. Accepted requests will receive an email on how to proceed on the day of the Contest.
11. An approval or denial of requests will be emailed by December 20th, 2024. 

 All accommodation or change requests are submitted through MAC Link app.

• Huffaz Five Juz’: From Surah Younus to the end of Surah Maryam

• Huffaz Ten Juz’: From Surah Ar-Rum to the end of Surah An-Nas

• Youth Categories:

Youth Bronze: Juz’ 30

Youth Silver: Juz’ 29 & 30

Youth Gold: Juz’ 28, 29 & 30

Youth Pearl: Juz’ 27, 28, 29 & 30

Youth Diamond: Juz’  26, 27, 28, 29 & 30

New Youth Category : Ash-Shu’araa
