Meaning of Al-Otrojah
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “The example of him (a believer) who recites the Qur’an is like that of a citron which tastes good and smells good. And he (a believer) who does not recite the Qur’an is like a date which is good in taste but has no smell. And the example of a dissolute wicked person who recites the Qur’an is like the Raihana (sweet basil) which smells good but tastes bitter. And the example of a dissolute wicked person who does not recite the Qur’an is like the colocynth which tastes bitter and has no smell.”
History of Al-Otrojah
The Al-Otrojah project started in Canada in 2014. The school utilizes a well-structured program that adopts an efficient and easy-to-follow method which has helped thousands of students and scholars achieve solid memorization of the Holy Quran, and get their “Sanad Ejaza” of the Holy Qur’an of Hafs from Asem from the way of Shatebya.
We are proud to be a part of the Muslim Association of Canada so we share our success story with the Canadian Muslim community to encourage the memorization of the Holy Qur’an.
Vision
Al-Otrojah’s vision is to be a specialized Qur’anic centre for excellent and easy memorization of the Qur’an, learning of the rules of Tajweed and a simplified yet comprehensive understanding of the Qur’an’s meanings, and to be accessible to each Muslim community across Canada.
Mission
Al-Otrojah’s mission is to facilitate a solid yet easy memorization of the Holy Qur’an, full comprehension of Tajweed, and to provide an educated understanding of Qur’anic meanings for all Muslim Canadians
