About Us

Al-Furqan Part-time School started in Ottawa in early 2003, with nearly 200 students, ending with 165 students at the end of the school year. In 2004, the school started with 300 students, and it currently sustains more than 500 students in three different locations After Abraar & West 1 program at Abraar Elementary School (70 Fieldrow St), West 2 program at 1469 Stittsville Main St, and the East program at St. Patrick’s High School (2525 Alta Vista Dr). Al-Furqan School is one of the institutions run by the Muslim Association of Canada (MAC), working within the association’s overall plan and methodology, and adheres to its principles, regulations and instructions.

In 2004, the school was officially registered and a school board was formed. This school board energetically took responsibility for the school, with the goal of improving and following up with all aspects of the school.
