MAC 22nd Annual Quran Contest

Rules and Regulations

  1. MAC 22nd Noble Quran Memorization and Tajweed Contest 2025 is held at Olive Grove School located at 2300 Speakman Drive, Mississauga, ON, L5K 1B4.
  2. All participants will recite in person on January 1st, 2025.
  3. All participants are allowed to register in only one contest category.
  4. Youth participants are those born between 2006 and 2020.
  5. Only youth participants are allowed to register for Youth Huffaz categories.
  6. Al-Zahrawan and Huffaz categories are open for all participants 4 years and older.
  7. Standard registration fee of $35 ends on December 27th, 2024
  8. Late registration fee of $45 applies between December 28-31, 2024.
  9. All fees are non-refundable.
  10. A study guide for surah meanings will be posted on December 11, 2024.

Special Accommodations/Changes

Some participants may require special accommodations. A special committee will review all requests that are submitted. Please note that in the light of a fair competition, the following rules must be followed:

  1. Please read the rules and regulations carefully before submitting a request as all payments are non-refundable.
  2. Only requests for confirmed registrations will be accepted. (i.e. You need to finalize the payment before submitting an accommodation request).
  3. Special contest days and online options are available for confirmed travel/illness reasons. The exact days for special contest days will be shared with individuals who have approved requests.
  4. All requests are reviewed by a special committee that will decide on the eligibility of the request and if the request can be accommodated for.
  5. All decisions are final and can’t be reversed.
  6. If a request is denied, no refund will be issued.
  7. All requests must be submitted by December 15th, 2024.
  8. No changes/transfers between the contest levels and categories can be made on the day of the contest.
  9. For standard surah levels, participants are placed according to their year of birth, please refer below to confirm the required surah.
  10. Accepted requests will receive an email on how to proceed on the day of the contest.
  11. Approval or denial of request will be emailed by December 20th, 2024.

To register for the contest, please follow the steps below:

  1. Download MACLink app from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Login with the email address you used to register for the contest last year.
  3. If you need to reset your password, you can easily do so by clicking “Forgot Password” on the login page.
  4. Once you’ve successfully logged in, please click on the “MAC Annual Quran Competition” link under “Featured Events”.
  5. You will find all your family members who registered for last year’s competition. If you want to add a new contestant, click on the “+” on the top right corner of the page and follow the screen prompts.
  6. Click the “Register” button on the top of the page and select the contestants that you would like to register this year.
  7. Click the “Next” button on the top of the page
  8. Select the level for each contestant and click the “Submit”button at the bottom of the page, acknowledge the policy and complete the payment by adding your credit card information.
