CODE OF CONDUCT

EXPECTATIONS AND CODE OF CONDUCT

At RCES, we strive to create a nurturing environment that promotes Islamic values and aligns with the principles of progressive discipline. Our Student Code of Conduct is designed to empower students to develop respect for themselves, others, and the world around them. The foundational principles of tarbiyah (upbringing and character development), husn al-khulq (good character), ihsan (excellence), and khilafah (stewardship) will guide our interactions and behaviors.

Our aim is to integrate Islamic values with Ontario’s progressive discipline approach. By embedding Islamic principles into daily school life, we foster trust, self-discipline, and problem solving skills.

Core Principles

The foundation of this Code of Conduct includes:

  • Promoting Positive Student Behaviour following the Islamic Tarbiyyah values and Sub Values
  • Preventing Inappropriate Behaviour
  • Early and Ongoing Intervention.

Addressing Inappropriate Behaviour with Appropriate Consequences

This process involves engaging parents, helping students learn, and providing the necessary support. Islamic teachings, combined with character education and leadership programs, form the basis for students to grow in both faith and academic excellence.

Islamic Values and Etiquette

As narrated by Abu Hurairah (RA), Rasulullah (SAW) said, “The best among you in Islam are those with the best manners, so long as they develop a sense of understanding” (Al-Bukhari).
