Abraar Secondary School offers an educational program for grades 7 to 12 – as well as operate a daycare program for preschool children and toddlers. The Grade 9 to 12 programs are fully accredited by the Ontario Ministry of Education. The previous two years were marked by ongoing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and our response to these challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic necessitated a transition from in-person to online learning. We have had to switch back and forth between in-person and online learning a number of times since the pandemic hit. These disruptions mean added challenges and are stressful for the students and the teaching staff alike. Despite the added challenges, we have been able to meet our learning goals in all courses. We take tremendous pride in the quality of our academic programs and the achievements of our students. Our Grade 12 program started in the 2019-2020 school year and we are pleased to announce that we will be graduating our third cohort of Grade 12 students this year. A huge congratulations to the graduating class and their parents! Since we launched the Grade 12 program, our graduating students have had a 100 percent acceptance rate into post-secondary institutions. This is a record we are very proud of. AlhamduliLlah. Abraar Secondary School’s good reputation is the result of high performances by our students, as well as the constantly improving quality of our teaching facilities. We are very pleased with the progress we have made so far, but we are also conscious that we have to redouble our efforts to become one of the premier institutions in our province.
To achieve our objectives, we are launching a fundraising campaign that will allow you to make a personal contribution to the success of the school that is educating the next generation of Canadian Muslims. Please help us reach our goal of $150,000. The impact of your contribution will be felt for generations to come as it strengthens our Muslim community in this part of the world.
Your donations will help us:
- Enhance our use of technology for educational purposes and expand our teaching/learning resources
- Replace the school’s Door-Entry-System and the Gym floor.
- Repair the roof of the school building
We are confident that our amazing parents and dedicated community members will donate generously. All donations are tax-deductible and a charitable tax receipt will be issued for all donations. Donors can expect a tax refund of up to 40 percent in Ontario and 53 percent in Quebec.
