I am responsible for the actions of those who use the facility during the time of rental. 2. I will pay for the reasonable costs of any damage caused to the facilities by my actions or the actions of those who use the facility during the time of rental. 3. I will take reasonable steps to ensure that no unauthorized persons enter the facility during the time of rental. 4. No individual or other organization may assign or sublet their interest in our facility. 5. Do not put any tape down on the floors. Groups will be responsible for damage to school floors caused by taping, including the cost of repairs. 6. If paper is used to cover tables, the renter shall be responsible to remove all tape from the tables. No covering may be tacked, stapled, nailed, or fastened in any manner which will damage the tables. Painter’s tape is acceptable. 7. No food or drinks are permitted in the gym unless approved and specified on the facility rental agreement. 8. Alcohol is NOT permitted in our school facility, school grounds or school parking lots. 9. Smoking and vaping are not permitted on school property, school grounds or in the parking lots. 10. Any object which is either designed, intended or used to threaten or inflict bodily harm on a person, or imitates a weapon, is not permitted on school premises. 11. School equipment is not to be used unless approved and specified. 12. No playing allowed in the hallways. 13. Decorations cannot be pinned, stapled or otherwise affixed to the walls, ceiling, windows or tables. Painter’s tape is acceptable. 14. Use of rice, seeds, glitter or other graffiti-type decorations is not allowed. It is the renter’s responsibility to remove ALL remaining partials from the tables, chairs and floor. 15. Rentals may not exceed the capacity level for the facility area that is being contracted. Exceeding capacity may result in the event being shut down. 16. Use of candles or other devices with exposed flame is prohibited. 17. Do not overload the outlets. This may lead to blowing a circuit. 18. Tables and Chairs are to be taken down and placed neatly in the storage room, floors need to be swept and mopped before leaving the building. 19. The renter is responsible for the removal of their trash to the outside dumpsters. 20. Children must be supervised at all times. Children are not permitted to enter rooms not contracted on the rental agreement. 21. All items that have been brought in by the renter, or contracted services for the function, must be removed from the facility by the end of the rental time. Neither the School nor their employees can be held responsible for any item left at the facility by either the renter or persons/companies providing the service and/or equipment for the rental party. Items for functions cannot be stored overnight. 22. The Muslim Association of Canada is not responsible and is not insured for any personal property brought in that is lost or damaged and we assume no responsibility for any such loss. 23. No pets or animals are allowed on the property. 24. Music/nasheed is permitted in the gym but at lower volumes, however during prayer times it must be turned off. 25. Weapons and/or firearms are prohibited from anywhere on the property 26. The parking area is available for use at all events at no extra charge. Parking is subject to parking signs and regulations. 27. Wireless internet services are available upon request at no extra cost to the renter(s). 28. Renter shall adhere to the Muslim Association of Canada Anti-Terrorism and Child Protection policies. 29. If the booking falls on one of the following holidays, Eid Ul-Adha or Eid Ul-Fitr, the booking will be cancelled and an alternative day will be offered. 30. Neither the property or any part of the property will be used at any time for the purpose of carrying any business, profession, or trade of any kind. 31. The undersigned hereby assumes the personal and individual liability of himself and on behalf of Applicant for any damages to the facility or equipment occurring through or during the occupancy or use of the facility by the Applicant. The undersigned will leave the facility in a condition as good as, or better than, originally found. The undersigned personally and individually on behalf of the applicant accepts liability for all repairs to the facility and/or repair or replacement of any equipment in the event of damage. 32. In the event that you and/or your guests are unable to adhere to the above-stated guidelines, you will be charged an additional rental fee and/or asked to vacate the premises by the facility staff. By accepting these policies and regulations, the applicant acknowledges that he/she is responsible for ensuring that all guests adhere to the above rules and will provide payment for the use of the facility by the assigned date.
