Sr. Reem Guerriche is the Grade 7/8 Qur’an teacher. She has received her Ijaza in Kuwait from Sheika Inaam Al-Ghazaali, who was the student of Sheikh Al-Kudayr from Al-Madeenah. She has been teaching for the past 10 years. Over the years, she has taught diverse subjects such as Aqeedah, Seerah, Fiqh, Hadeeth and Tafsir and has translated a variety of Islamic books. She hopes to use her knowledge of teaching students of many backgrounds to supplement her role as the Hifz teacher in Grade 6.

Sr. Heba Mahmoud is the Grade 6 Qur’an teacher. She holds a double degree. One in architecture and another in Islamic Studies from Al Azhar University in Cairo. In the past, she has been the judge here at Qiraat competitions in Toronto as well as the being the first full time Hifz teacher for the girl’s program at the Islamic Foundation School. Her true passion is learning and teaching the Quran and Islamic Studies.

Sr. Laila Mustafa is the Grade 5 Qur’an teacher. She is passionate about education. She began her career in teaching in 2002 as an Islamic Studies teacher at Al- Beit University of Jordan. She attained her diploma in ECE from Seneca Collage in and a Bachelor degree in Child and Youth Care from Victoria University, BC. In addition to that, she obtained her Ijazah with Sanad in the Mode of Hafs ‘an ‘Asim as well as various certificates Tajweed, Tafseer and Hadeeth.

Sr. Naushaba Qureshi is the Grade 5/6 Academic teacher. She obtained her B.A. in Economics as well as her TESL/TEFL certification. She also has an ECE Diploma and is currently pursuing her B. Ed. in Islamic Education ( a four year program). She has over 10 years of teaching experience in many Islamic schools throughout Toronto. Her experience ranges from teaching and working with preschoolers to adult learners. She strongly believes that each student has their own unique strengths and talents.
